I agree with the last comment. In the beginning he's telling her how great loving her is going to be once he's done working. Then he goes into saying how he's not sure if he'll ever get to because he's constantly "working". In the refrain section it seems as if he doesn't mind working for her but then as the song continues he starts to question her reasons for keeping him busy. By the second half of the song he seems kind of annoyed by the situation and is asking her "how can you live girl?..."
I take that as "how are you getting by if I'm like this?" Thats when he just comes out and says you must be seeing someone else and that's why you have me working like this.
