It's about someone trying to let somebody go but they just can't. The first verse has him acknowledging the fact that their relationship is headed south and then trying to shut the girl out by attempting to lock himself away from her. He wants to lock her (and her love) out and away.
The last verse though has him admitting that she has some type of power over him, he can't leave her & that his judgement is weak when it comes to her.
