I heard this song while my girlfriend was listening to Pandora - and what a discovery. We really do love this tune. It's reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac which is also a great group, though older now (Rhiannon, Landslide, Dreams, etc. if you don't know who they are). I could see how the lyrics could be interpreted differently (I find both of the above interpretations interesting and fitting. I lean toward the mental instability, personally as I find it a little more interesting). Lyrical ambiguity has always been something I have appreciated though. It's as if the artist doesn't want to make it too easy for you to define their song. I like room for thought in an artwork.
