For me, it is about thinking of committing suicide. 'Maybe I won't sign off tonight'

In his dystopian surroundings, one has to keep everything inside (questions, thoughts, feelings etc) for whatever reasons. If he/she can calm down these frustrations that are accumulating inside, he/she might not sign off (commit suicide).

He/she can see in the darkness, by 'seeing' he/she means 'believing that he/she sees' something. His/her eyes are shrouded by biased beliefs and see only 'woe', so this needs a change or striking will just discharge temporarily that feeling of frustration.

When you breathe in, you take deep breaths to calm yourself down in order to get a grip of the situation and start to fully control not only your thoughts, but your feelings too. When you breathe out, you just let off the steam and stay calm, which again brings us to the thought that suicide could be avoided. Since breathing is so repetitive, it's possible (I know, it happened to me) to always change your mind about what you want in very brief intervals of time. In one moment you are filled with ambition and then you just feel down because there is no hope. Of course, these mood swings are caused by too much thinking. Way too much thinking.

Umm yea, it may not be about suicide. It could be about getting drunk or just disconnecting your mind from troubles, seeking refuge in something. Like shutting down.
