i can see a newly converted christian who goes back to his pagan ways whenever he gets scared. his newly found faith is not enough to secure him, as well as make him feel alive, so at night, he (and his tribe) goes back to worshipping the moon, and in doing so, they re experience the feeling of security and ecstasy brought about by such rituals
