I think I agree with peace frog. it is pretty obvious it is about a girl remembering about her relationship about her mother, and how her mother tried to prepare her for "womanhood", or rather, what her mother envisioned her the daughter's life as a woman. there a few lines in the lyrics that suggest the daughter eventually broke with this conception, and perhaps with the mother aswell.

I think the daughter sees this way of being a woman, with curly hair and lashes, lips done up etc as being fake, and not her true self. maybe this is relfected by the title and chorus of the song "little trouble girl" and "but you'll never know, what I feel inside, that I'm Really bad". maybe suggesting what the mother envisioned for the daughter is not in line with her personality at all.
