Ya, a bit lengthy, but I think it explains the song pretty well. I think this song isn't just about alien abduction, but primarily is. I'll be reffering to two people in the "meeting" that happened as the listener and the speaker. The speaker being the one who witnessed this event and was, himself, abducted. And the listener is the one being told the story who has wrote this song in a wondering state of wishing he knew the real answer.

The first verse: "Life, it's always overblown. Untill we wake up and create some other needs." Maybe it's saying that our life is over-investigated and we should look into other stuff like aliens. Then it goes to talk about U.F.O. sightings and the "Dyad Scout Craft" is a U.F.O. that was supposedly spotted in more than one place on more than one occasion. It is said to emit extremely bright lights from the bottom, possibly "heat source rained down". "Hands reveal a meeting, but did they come?" Maybe the speaker who was abducted has some sort of scar which he considers proof.

"So I look at the eyes, straight to the soul doorway. I look at the eyes, know all that you know." Could be talking about how the listner could see that this man telling him this stories was honest from the look in his eyes or on his face.

Burning out inside and all that is talking about how the listener wants to know so badly if this is true or not. "Does anybody really see anything" is refering to how this could be a lie, a hoax people make up. Or could it be that the U.S. government is leading people to be a hoax. The listener wants the truth.

"Find an other labled hoaxes, just as Roswell found another link" These sightings are all similar. These "hoaxes" meight not be false or fabricated.

"Lights, too miles wide, felt them lift, felt them pull." This line is refering to the actual abduction.

"Finds and other labeled hoaxes, Just as Roswell found another link. Reform witness, night abductions You always felt a meaning, but did they come?" Maybe the sighting in Roswell is another "Dyad." Maybe, this is coming together, feeling real. Then says this "meaning" the listener felt is that the aliens really did land.

Yaa, that's about it. That's my input and thoughts on the song. I love Chevelle and their spectacular lyrics. Every song is great. Oh, and this is the Dyad Scout Craft I was reffering to. Pretty cool. http://nicap.org/dyad.htm . And if you dont know, Roswell, New Mexico is like the U.S. capital for U.F.O. sightings. Have a nice day.
