I think it's about looking and longing for better days (summer). The summer always comes with warmer temperatures and more outdoor activities and it's just a warmer time of the year. Winter is completely the opposite; it's cold, you have to brace yourself against it and although you can warm up with someone if no one wants to then you're on your own.
I think it's just about a good, warm, happy time coming to an end but knowing that better days will come around. That's the best I got! LOL :))
