Reading it, I believe this song can be construed in a million different ways, but I'm going to give it a shot. This to me seems like its about a boy enlisting in the Army.
I'm going to use the first stanza as an example:
"Somehow we're sent by fools"
United States government going to war?
"No better when we're lost"
We are all not sure what to believe by the media, our government, et al.
"I fell into your shoes"
Could possibly be his father, grandfather etc enlisting in the military?
