Just went to the final Harvey Danger All-Ages show last night best show of my life, by the way at which we were blessed with about an hour of question-answer-and requests. One questioner asked simply "What is Wrecking Ball about?" and Sean replied with more or less exactly the following:
It's a song about growing up in a family and knowing that you're related by blood, but feeling that you're not related in any other way...and then, growing up, going back, and trying to build a relationship where there really never was one to be had.
