Like Moths To Flame Lyrics

This is a blatant retelling of Peter's betrayal from his point of view. The rooster crowing is the awful sound, Peter remembering the prophecy, etc. And for some reason people keep saying "Thrice is not a Christian band..." If you mean they are not on a Christian label and played on Christian radio stations then you are correct, they are in the secular, mainstream market. However, they, individually, are Christians and their music STRONGLY reflects that. Yes, some of their songs are not Biblically related, but what does that have to do with the price of chicken in China? To me, it would seem like if you were trying to put a message out there via music...it would make more sense to do it in the secular market, where you will reach all types of people and not just minister to the people who already share your beliefs, ie, the Christian market. Astounding logic, isn't it?

Ok, peter's betrayal is probably right. I just read the song now for the second time and I was thinking Judas... but then again, remembering some readings, Judas's faith was never as strong as the other appostles (no **** lol), but yeah, it would make sense for the song to be about Peter's betrayal.

Thanks for clearing that up!

@kman22 I agree with everything youve said.. Christian music aimed at Christians is preaching to a choir who already believes, and in my opinion should be more properly labeled as "worship songs for people who already believe in jesus to aid in their prayers they are already saying"

Most non-believers will run away screaming from anything of the sort. This on the other hand...makes you think, makes you feel, makes you understand, at a soul level what its like to find yourself betraying a friend, to realize the evil that men do is not always others for you...
