yeah this song is about suicide, but i guess you can make it about whatever you want. i like to think it's just about not giving up on something that means so much to you.

If you played FF7, you'd know Aeris deliberately let herself be killed by Sephiroth so she could save the planet. It may sound weird to you, I suppose, but you'd have to play the game to understand the story (and you might not even get some more of the story on your first playthrough :D).
