i reckon this about us,the fans,and the effects of dez's idol like status. we all want to achieve what he has,metal god and wealthy etc. but in turning to devildriver and other metal bands we put that burden{The reach man bears the burden that the poor man seeks to chase} upon him, so he turns to peace and quiet to escape it, but in doing so feels he isnt part of us all. but he has (in this song) just stated thats what he does and how he is. and its a bitter pill for followers to swallow to know he doesnt lead the same ideals in life we all hope to gain from his influence.
