Actually there is a consistent theme here. In all four of the little stories, even the last one where the guy gets "lucky," the outcome fails to meet expectations. The corporal is going to be killed by the Indians, the villains get caught, the pub poseur has a black-out and a rash, and the disco guy (same guy as the pub poseur?) gets laid but still seems disappointed - doesn't live up to the guys on TV.
But it's not like that on the TV
When it's cool for cats
It's cool for cats
That's the winner indeed. Nice vignettes really, firstly looking at TV-A standard western, and the brilliant 70s Thames TV series The Sweeney, then our 'hero' turns the TV off and goes out for the night-all vignettes have disappointing, easily wrapped up outcomes.
Apparently Difford wrote it after watching Benny Hill...not sure why he didn't try and include Benny in, but then Benny never did get the girl either-being chased by them and running away instead

Agreeing with Molk. It's four stories with a common message about the difference between perceived cool and hard reality.
