Cover art for Bangs lyrics by They Might Be Giants

This song is so fun. I think most men have something that they happen to find attractive in girls, be it a hair style, or hair color, or anything. In this song, he has a thing for bangs, and he's letting the girl know that he's attracted to her as she is. He loves her hairstyle, but more importantly, he loves her.

The line "A proscenium to stage a face that needs no makeup" bugs me, though. Maybe its the theater nerd in me, but technically it should read "A proscenium to frame a face that needs no makeup", because the proscenium is basically the frame of a stage, much like a hairstyle frames a face.

@halfwaynowhere Come on now, I used to be a theatre nerd too and we both (should) know that the proscenium arch is the top of the opening of the stage into the house, which is usually very ornate. Especially in older theatres. Her bangs are the beautiful proscenium above her gorgeous make-up free face.
