I think this reads a lot like a failed suicide attempt, and now he's trying to turn his life around. It's really depressing, but beautiful. I absolutely love the way the first verse sounds (the music and his voice). It's haunting, but my favorite part. And I think it sounds more like "I am a shelf holding unread words."
