i think this is a great modern remake and the lyrics and music work great together. I agree with the message in this song that finding 'the one' is about chance. Also that dating has really changed from the way it was in the past. It's gotten less personal with text messages instead of romantic dates, or writing love letters- 'a text that doesnt belong to me' and going out with people just to have someone to be with- 'We just want a date, Whether deaf or blind or dumb'. Then just when you think you found the one something goes wrong 'Toss these dice eventually, These snake-eyes spell a tragedy, And I release unhappily, The magic now a fantasy, Theres another one for me than you, And some other one for you than me'
Theres a lot of meanings in the song and it's all so honest and true. Basically dating is hard.. and is there really 'the one' out there? When your with someone you love it feels amazing and they are your everything, when it all dissolves it hurts like hell.
