Personally my favourite on the album, the lyrics are very deep and the music and the emotion in Jon's voice fit so well, and make this an amazing song, that I could listen to over and over and over again!
I think the meaning of this song is that the world is in a state of downfall, with wars, the economic crisis and global warming causing the inevitable downfall of the world, keep on to the ones you hold dearm because if they're gone, then you have nothing left.
