"Was it worth the while burning us up.
When the oath that bound us was more than words.
Heretics claiming the Savior as their own.
I have the book and it's warned me of you.
And you think hurting me really helped.
Believe me it's coming around.
When you panic tonight just think of me."
Dallas using the word oath in this verse makes it obvious that it's about the old band. Calling them heretics, claiming the savior as their own. Claiming they are they evil ones that the bible warned him of. Quoting Aaron Gillespie's documented statement, "we had to hurt Dallas in order to help him", Dallas makes it blatantly obvious what his intentions of the song are. Closing the song stating "Believe me it's coming around. When you panic tonight, just think of me." I know what I would think if someone said that to me.
Dallas is great, the man conquered the music industry twice, and underoath are still riding his coat tails, not for long though. They are fading into dust. Just as Dallas predicted.
