I can really relate to it.
I think this song has a few different view points.
What I got out of this song is that this girl loves this guy; most songs are about that. haha.
But she thinks the world of him and so low and thinks that nothing will ever happen between them like it did. They are friends and are obviously recording a song. And the songs she writes are about him. And the whole reverse thing is her going back to the days and if it didnt happen what wouldnt would have happened. & they are still hanging out and having a good time. but she still wants more than that.
