The song being called "Porcelain Heart" definitely means something. I think it makes a statement about relationships of any kind. They are beautiful but can easiliy be broken. These lyrics tell me a story about a man who loved his family but had a very rough past, and needed to escape to another place to raise his own child. It killed him to leave his life behind but he knew it was necessary. Now, he has nearly forgotten his own way of life and does not want his child to ever know, or "ask the reason why."
