I could be getting this all wrong and perhaps it could be about the singer with a person and as this person prefers to waste his or her time with the singer instead of completing an assignment that is due shortly (the deadline )... I get this from when your deadlines become my days and nights as the person would rather spend time with the singer instead of focusing on assignment... yeah deadlines could probablby taken metaphorically and not literal but yeah I try.
