If we want to stray away from the whole suicide interpretation of this song, you could say that this song is about leaving the girl he loves.

Obviously, from numerous lines, it's stated that her parents don't really care for him much but he doesn't care because he sneaks into her house anyway, but it really doesn't matter now because he's leaving for good.

"Girl, get dressed, I'll meet you at midnight We're gonna share our dance Under the streetlights Fuck your parents And your brother's bedtime Cause this will be our last dance tonight"

He's going to meet her one last time before he leaves so they can dance under the street lights, regardless of whatever else is going on at that point.

"Well say goodbye to your parents Cause this'll be the last time That they'll ever see us alive"

The "last time they'll ever see us alive" part could mean that this is the last time that they will see them alive, and they are alive when they're together. Without each other, it's like they're dead, no more being happy, just sorrow from separation. They won't be "alive".

"Well she says "Don't go, just don't go I can't make it alone" Well she says "Don't go, just don't go Cause I can't make it on my own.""

Obviously she doesn't want him to leave because she feels like she can't live without him.

"Face down in the mud I'm holding a gun I'm sitting at the bottom of the ocean My love, the only one With her arms wide open Well she says "Don't go, just don't go I can't make it alone" Well she says "Just know, that if you go Well then I will follow.""

The whole gun thing can mean that he's killed himself, as in leaving her is like suicide, it's killing him to have to leave her. But then she decides that wherever he intends to travel to, she will follow.

I dunno, just looking at it from a non-suicide angle. Let me hear your thoughts.
