I think this song is definitely riding on a wave of optimism, in contrast to their previous lead-off single "World Wide Suicide" which was pure dissatisfaction from Eddie of the government at the time. I think the idea of a new beginning after Bush left has inspired Eddie to write more uplifting material, and this single is a good example of that. I think this song is a celebration of sorts, with the protagonist rejoicing over his new-found attitude for life. What once was lost - be it love or happiness - is found again.

Great song.

yeah, I totally agree with you, tcaporale. This song is clearly very optimistic, and I think it has to do with the hope Obama is offering to the United States... maybe he sees a better future for his daughter. Musically speaking the song is very similar to what they had been doing in the avocado album, now with a sound much cleaner and with keyboards very marked.

Amazing song. These guys make me love rock n' roll again.

Totally right.

New beginning, fix everything, see something good in everything.

Trully optomistic.

Love this catchy song.
