i think this song is about loving a female or male yourself and showing it is wrong because it is only pleasing yourself and not telling them about the love of god which would send you and "that person" to hell according to "if jealously was a knife we would all be dead" so instead of "crawling across the glass while bleeding" to reach "him" or "her" and lift them up yourself you should be "crawling across the glass while bleeding" to encourage them to have faith in god to lift her and him up to continue the journey together to heaven
