Ok. Spunky is a mentally ill patient who might or might not be E's sister.
Thanks for her 'handicap' the world doesn't really expect her to be able to do antyhing, she has a lousy job somewhere, for which she had to wear a lousy uniform.
However, she changed her home/garage into an orphanage for kitties! She takes care of these kittens, saving them from starvation. She makes a life for herself and is happy and gives up her job, returning the uniform and all.
She had bigger dreams than that, though, opening these kitty orphanages around the country! However, people still laugh at her.
She doesn't care, she just loves kitties, and thinks it's the way to saving the world!
