I think it's about going out on the town, and pulling someone. You meet someone hint the hotel room, boozers and then you end up falling in love with them.
The chorus bit is like, be happy no matter what. Life is too short, don't have regrets etc. In the end, everything will all turn out alrate.

It's all about a break up and trying to move on.
In general, it's such a beautiful song, but personally i prefer Last Goodbye. Haha
