The lyric is definitely "better than a white line" (not "better than a white lie"). It makes much more sense that way, sounds more like what the singer is saying, and "line" rhymes with "time" better than with
"lie"... (also other sites have it right - i.e. "line", not "lie").
Anyway, how do you fix the lyrics? Someone should, as its at least one of the most important lines (so to speak) in the song, and should be correct... (and its definitely a great song)
