I'm reminded of the "cool kids" in the audience at Lollapalooza on the Simpsons (i.e. the show where Homer tours with his cannonball-to-the-stomach act; aka the show with Sonic Youth tearing up the theme song, at the end).
You know, when one bored suburban kid makes what sounds like a sarcastic comment. The other says, "Are you being ironic?" and--wearily--the first replies, "I don't even KNOW anymore."
