I think this song is about wishing someone well in life. Maybe they have made mistakes or went down the wrong path. ("Don't deserve to get lost" and "may your struggles all be won")Also, the line "take it easy on yourself" makes me think that it is about hoping somebody will be okay.
I agree with ur interpretation of "Forever May U Run", my only difference in belief is he is speaking originally in 1st hand, something he experienced1 I have my opinions, though often upset others with them, so I will just say I had an"issue" I sruggle with daily.
