Amazing song by Nevermore, one of my favourites actually.
I think it speaks about, how he dreams about his other half that he loves and imagines the exact minute that she will come and "save" him from the darkness he has fallen into after they split ways.
Imo the song can reffer to a break up and the pain that one feels in him, or death and the emotions of grief/pain/loss.
Either wich way, you can feel the aching pain and suffering in each verse and note thoughout the song.
