To me it speaks about a woman, with some feminist thoughts, perhaps, that wanted to 'settle down'. Until a man came and changed everything, and even though it went against her values, 'Margaret atwood, she could not stop me Virginia Woolf, she could not stop me' she still wanted to go along.

Maybe in her next life, she'll fulfill her feminist views. Meanwhile, she'll enjoy the ride. :)
