And with this song, finding God is finding yourself. it seems as if his "friends" are old "tired, a lil worn", he hardly recognizes them. maybe the londesome deadend roadside south means the opposite of the slow road to freedom. its more comforting to know that were all in this thing together (this world), "this life dont last forever" even tho their old and worn, they still have time to find themselves in this crazy world.
