this song is one of my favorite songs from extol. i interpreted this song as being about you before you became a christian the earth is a very dark place and you don't know how to live your life then you see a man walking close to where you are later you come to see and realize that man is Jesus waiting for you to come and lead you out of the darkness and into a narrow path leading to heaven. Jesus will always be with you even through death
