i was obsessed with this song for some time. i like how it has, like, a talking interlude haha it's so fun to sing along with that part. Regin-AH! Regina, I-ainnt go' nawww-thaariteeee-eenny-moooorre. lol

anyway, don't ask me what this song's about. maybe Poseidon has significance to her baby's leaving, maybe not. She's just generally washed-up in this song, her man left her, and every night she wishes he'd come back, and she's taken all the wrong "buses" (made all the wrong decisions, obviously). that's why her eyes are dreary and pale. she's tired...

my mom had a good point about how she tends to dabble in a genre in a way that's terribly cliche, but still has a quality that's present in all of her songs, and i thought, "crazy brilliant vocals and lyrics, perhaps?". but she compared Regina to Weird Al Yankovic -HEAR ME OUT!- because Regina imitates musical styles, but has that lighter vibe to her music (the common thread) than the people who are singular to that genre. My mom said it was like Regina was spoofing the genre, but it's too serious to be funny. But that's all got on the whole "song meaning" thing. it's a Regina Blues song. Enjoy. :-P
