I agree with paramedico on the christian lyrics... however I'm not sure if Saosin is christian so if they weren't that wouldn't make much sense.
But it does seem to be speaking about atheism vs religion (particularly christianity if the bible reference is correct) Such that we feel it is better in an atheistic lifestyle because there are fewer restrictions, more pleasures of the body, and perhaps people are forgetting the pleasures of the mind > the gifts of God or other such religious happiness. hence "can we save ourselves from the ones we're becoming" (which doesn't really fit with anthony vs cove... thefallingline) and "it's so much better there"
Then I also agree with zigen on the one night stand, though "this won't mean anything tonight" could represent any sort of sin or deviance from a particular religion. If there's no restriction on it then there's no need to worry and so act on impulse.
