This song is phenomenal! It seems to be about a woman seeking the company of a man who denies her, but then she springs back to find someone that believes in her.

I agree the song is brilliant. Even better when it's live. This woman is just a ball of energy in concert and a great pleasure to the ears. Hmm I don't know... the woman is definitely not seeking the company of a man "a brief mad affair a place where men don't dare but man has no place for me here". And knowing that she's gay there's not really a doubt about that.

Me neither, i don't think it's her seeking the company of a man. I think it's her wanting to pickup somebody - let's say another woman -, what she really did, but this was someone, who later wanted this to be more than just a "brief mad affair". At first, like i said, it was just an affair (in the distance there was fun), but then it became more serious for this other woman, who doesn't want to go on just like this (in front of me there was none, and reservation stared me in the eye).
