my personal interpretation of this song is in regards to two people splitting ways and sung in the perspective of the person who caused the fallout possibly, they seemed to have learned to let the other person go and keep quiet even tho they still have tremendous feelings for them but are insecure with how the other person may perceive them. maby the perspective of the singer was one of being obsessed with this person and in turn they feel they say more to them about how they feel by finally just leaving them alone while at the same time they seem lost in their loss
