In any case, the song seems generally self explanatory: The family is going through a rough time right now... and even though was second born Stephen has to play the role of first born because either his older sibling isn't emotionally capable of the task or he/she has passed away.
That's just my take - I really enjoy this song! Can't wait for the new album... it should be here Aug. 18th!
