"When you reach the part where the heartache come
The hero would be me
But heroes often fail
And you won't read that book again
Because the ending's just too hard to take"
This verse really crumbles my knees. I don't know, but to me it reminds me when "someone" else enters the relationship and I'm no longer the leading or coleading role... I think of how love can bring out the very best in a person....his "voice" is mystic when he sings that line, "to play the scene of bringing all the good things out in me,
But for now love lets be real....
one of my favorite lines/songs of all time...guess this doesn't make me a very cherry person. :) but, I always "feel" more human after listening to Gordon. I met him...

one of my favorite lines/songs of all time...guess this doesn't make me a very cherry person. :) but, I always "feel" more human after listening to Gordon. I met him and the band in Kansas City. They were the nicest people you could imagine.... This was at the Midland Theatre around the early to mid 80's. The bass player Rick Hayes talked to me at length. I thought I had missed Gordon, but he personally introduced me to him and I had a bite to eat with them. They were SO REAL. Friends ask me if I got their autographs, but I never even thought of it....it would have ruined the moment. Every person in that band seemed to be interested in "Me"....just a college kid studying education... I 'm so glad I never thought of even asking for their autographs...that would have ruined the trust. A lot of it was timing, I waited around and was in the right place, but none of them had to go out of their way to be so kind and invite me to walk a block or two away to have snacks with them and just listen to them... They were all so genuinely kind and down to earth.... Amazing People in that band. I especially want to thank Rick ,the bass player, for being such a great listener, and giving me his insights in the field of education...
I walk away like a movie star
Who gets burned in a three way script.
Enter number two, a movie queen
To play the scene of bringing all the good things out in me,
But for now love lets be real.
