I agree with Jon :)

Take care, take care now mother. This tiger's been tamed with cigarettes and warm gin. (the father) (Never have enough, never have enough) Lets decorate the cage with blinds. (metaphor, relates to the tiger) Somethings, somethings should be kept from innocent eyes. (the child) Yeah, eyes of the beasts are hungry but so spineless. (he is probably saying that the father may be so rough and all but inside, he's not as strong as he comes off)

Does it hurt when you breathe? Do you pray in your sleep to entertain? It's Christmas day tomorrow so I'm begging, Please can we go to sleep, oh? (this could probably be how tired the child is of all the fighting and yelling)

Separate the coward and the curse, you won't change. (the coward - father, the curse - the mother) It's not like we have anything thats left to lose. (the child and mother) So come on come on lets be brave. (the child and mother) Separate the coward and the curse, you won't change. Say a little prayer then we'll say there's no one here to blame.
