I Have only heard this song,i fucking love it Im not sure im going to go on a limb since im not the best at interpreting lyrics (that is why i come here haha) and,so is he saying that he misses his old life and he is reminded about his past when he saw his friends but then at the ame time he is like even though i do miss that life at least im not as sad as i used to be anymore,now im a happier person even if that life i led back then was fun?if thats what it means then this is the best,i know i can relate.

I can't help but think that this song in some ways refers to the last days of Nate's old band, the Format (may they yet return!). I dunno; it's just that I know Dog Problems had a lot to do with being left/betrayed by a lover, and now here's Nate singing a rather jaded-sounding song about how he doesn't fall in love, how he no longer keeps friends and basically looks out only for himself ("I'm here to profit"). I'm probably wrong, considering the three-year gap between Dog Problems and this album. Whatever; in any case, I really like this...
