i think KDJLAH was dead on. there is a line in the poem that goes "Ah! Well a-day! What evil looks / Had I from old and young! / Instead of the cross, the albatross / About my neck was hung." i think when kevin says a husband is a cross to bear it references back to this line in the poem. a beautiful song, which i can definitely relate to.
