OMG! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG! okay, reel big fish is a pretty happy band so there's no surprise that this is a crazy happy song. the lyrics remind me of the movie "revolutionary Road" where the couple struggles with the conception of society and the traditional 9-5 hour workday. they really just want to live their dreams and regain their youth, like this song. the lyrics are basically about having fun with your life and still being a kid at heart, because, face it, being an adult sucks! i would know, I'm a 14 year old! hahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
and i still have more brains than some people because I can understand a meaning of a reel big fish song!
This is a cover of an Edna's Goldfish song (at least, Edna's Goldfish recorded it in 1999, so i'm guessing it's theirs). I knew it sounded familiar when i first heard RBF do it but it took me months to figure out why. Finally, the older version popped up on my mp3 player's random and clued me in.
