Ah, this song - beautiful, if I do say so myself. The true meaning is not completely evident until the bridge, when Nick sings

I did all I could And I gave everything But you had to go your way And that road was not for me.

This song, the way I take it to mean, anyway, is pretty much capped inside that bridge and last chorus. It is speaking about a girl, and how the first person in this song really loved them. Its talking about this second person as a girl with a dream that will soon lead her away from everything in search of it. The first person says that

Somehow I'm to blame For this neverending racetrack we call life.

This means that the second person is probably upset with him about something, but she makes it seem like she thinks its his fault she's always in this 'race'.

Hope to see you on the finish line.

Alright, now we're getting down to it. The whole point is that this girl is on the 'racetrack', the 'road that was not for me'. The first person is telling her, just 'turn right, into my arms', you won't be alone, you might fall, but I'll see you at the finish line. He's trying to say that he's not to blame for this racetrack, but he's the cure. If she just turns to him, she'll reach the finish line.

I'm not as 100% sure about this one as I was about 'black keys', but this is pretty much what I take it to mean.

Enjoy this song even if it makes no sense to you :)
