It means what it means to you but to me it's about hope as long as you are prepared to take the step, whatever it takes to create a new day. "Awake in this new light, I'm alone in this room" means there is no one with me, but I'm not coming back to where I was. And then there's the following line - "are we waiting, for the saviour, I'm so sick of waiting, I've been waiting, my whole life" which says I'm not waiting any longer,I'm going to change what is and if I have to do it myself, I will.
