i think it's about someone who is pretending to be someone else. he doesn't know exactly who he is yet and is trying so hard to figure out who he is, but he feels fake. he escapes in his drinking. he feels like he is in anever ending sleep, he'll never wake up and discover the reality of who is and who he is meant to be. he will realize everything he said or thought he was is not true.
