Some of these lyrics are wrong.. It's what my heart must do for you, then lets leave the past instead of lead the past. I think its just about a relationship thats going through some hard times. It sounds as if they have both lost interest in the relationship, but neither of them want it to end, hence the line, pull through this avalanche. They want to work through the hard times and still be together. Or at least she does. Some parts it sounds as if the guy has checked out completely, and its still her thats trying to hold on.
