I wouldn't quite say it's about that, either. I'd say that it's about having so many "friends" but nobody there when you need them. You may have a thousand friends, but how many of them are really there for you? What are you to them besides a casual chat? When/If you ever meet that person in real life, will they be the same? It's a lot easier to sound passionate with text than it is with speech. It's easier to lie and say things that aren't true. It's just a few characters on your computer screen, and that's all.
