A question regarding the accuracy of the lyrics: I'm not certain, and the lyrics as they are make sense but is he not saying "fodder" rather than "father"?
"He's more farce than fodder" makes sense to me potentially more so than father.
I agree that "fodder" makes more sense.
I also think the third/fourth line makes more sense as:
If 'depends' were just dots and commas, I'd still say you got one on us.
